The use of acupuncture and moxibustion a.k.a moxa often goes hand in hand, which can be manifested by the Chinese word “针灸”. “针” means acupuncture, and “灸” means moxa.

Warming needles are burning moxa at the tail of acupuncture needles to allow the warmth and therapeutic property of moxa conducted through the needle and permeate into the needled point. Warming needles are the perfect combination of acupuncture and moxibustion, with extensive application.
